In this episode of Get Real with The English Sisters we talk about how to get on the path of cheerfulness in order to feel joy and happiness every day. One way of feeling cheerful every day is to stop being so hard on yourself and to be mindful of judging yourself too harshly. Of course being overly over optimistic can be dangerous too. Life is about balance and we need the Yin and the Yan. However our minds tend to focus more on the negative because it is a primitive instinct to protect ourselves. So one negative thing in our day can tend to dominate the whole day. We can learn to allow ourselves to be mindful of the present moment and to enjoy every moment of the day. When we do so we realise that everything isn’t as bad as it may seem and we can enjoy instant anxiety relief!.
