Hello friends,
the day before yesterday it snowed – l’altro ieri ha nevicato!
We decided to stay at home because there was snow on the roads – abbiamo deciso di rimanere a casa perche’ c’era’ la neve per le strade!
After pottering around all morning – dopo essere indaffarate tutta la mattina…
We decided to have afternoon tea after lunch – abbiamo deciso di prendere il te dopo pranzo…
a little bit earlier than usual and by the warm open fire – un po’ prima del solito, vicino al bel camino caldo…
The reason being that earlier on that morning, we had cooked fabulous fairy cakes - per il motivo che quella mattina abbiamo fatto dei dolcetti inglesi meravigliosi…
We put the kettle on – abbiamo messo l’acqua a bollire nel bollitore…
made the tea – abbiamo fatto il te’…
and then enjoyed a typical English tea by the fire – e gustato un tipico te’ inglese vicino al camino…
The simple pleasures in life can be so enjoyable – i piaceri semplici della vita possono essere cosi piacevoli…
